Go with the Savage. I got my license just this year. I bought a 250 Yamaha exciter for $500 to get my confidence and rode it for a month. I was ready for a bigger bike. The smaller bikes are harder to keep on the rode when it's windy or trucks pass. I'm 5' 3l/2" and the Savage is perfect for me. Then I sold the Yamaha for $500.
